Architect's Belief
Architecture is a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond just visual aesthetics. The way a building feels, sounds, and smells can all impact our perception and emotional response to a space. Architects must consider how people will interact with a building through all their senses, from the texture of a surface to the way sound reverberates through a room. By designing spaces that engage and awake multiple senses, architects can create environments that are not only functional, but also evoke particular moods or emotions. The sensory experience of architecture is a crucial element in shaping our built environment and has a profound impact on our well-being and quality of life.
"The ultimate meaning of any building is beyond architecture; it directs our consciousness back to the world and towards our sense of self and being. Significant architecture makes us experience ourselves as complete embodied and spiritual beings."
